Area of interest:

From the beginning of his work at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Prof. Pollert has been applying himself to hydrodynamics of disperse systems. He is mainly concerned with experimental research and experimental data assessment methodology. He is invited to give specialised papers abroad and to international scientific committees of world conferences. Up to now he is author or co-author 112 scientific papers. Between 1991-1996, he was a coordinator of the international project of the Agency for International Development, Washington on "Reducing Energy Costs in District Heating Systems" and a head of grant assignments under Czech Grant Agency (1994-1996 and 1997-1999). At present time is coordinating Workpackage 3 of project " Assesing Infiltration and Exfiltration on the Performance of Urban Sewer Systems" under the scheme of 5.RTD EU. His pedagogical activities are determined by the requirements and profile of LERMO (responsible for subjects of M.Sc and PhD. studies).
